Looking to see if anyone is interested in joining me and one or two friends for the AZ BDR May 6-14. We ride DesertX, KTM 890, and Africa Twin.
Prefer hotels but will camp as needed. Likely will take the expert sections (but not required as we can meet where they converge). Planning one section per day, south to north.
No concerns regarding ability unless you just bought an ADV or DS and have never ridden a motorcycle before that. Also need to be prepared - can't be the guy that doesn't bring xyz because he assumes someone else will have it. Can't be the whiner, can't be the shitty attitude guy, can't be the moper, can't be the megalomaniac.
We're in our late 40s into 50s, dislike pavement, and enjoy gnar (some more than others). Probably 60+ years of riding between the three of us - mostly dirt bikes offroad (Rocky Mountains, Moab, etc). Between the three of us, we have done TCT, WY BDR, most of CO BDR, parts of AZ BDR.
