Just sharing a couple of photos of my navigation setup mounted to the bars. I'm using the DMD remote 2 and it just sneaks in between the mirror and the OEM switch block.
Power for the remote and tablet is sourced from the OEM GPS power connection behind the dash.

Interesting setup. Did you consider to reposition the DMD2 controller left of the oem switch block? Was wondering how easy you can reach the DMD2 controller so far on the right side?

In the afternoon I fitted everything up I did remove the covers on that switch block with the intention of mounting the controller to the left of it and sliding the switch block down the bars.
I was unable to work out how that switch block was retained and for fear of breaking something and getting the tablet mounted I settled with the current position. It's not optimal but when crusing you can easily use your left hand on the controls.

I plan to eventually move the switch block, but first I need to work out how to remove it, ha.

The removing process is described in the workshop manual (see pics). But unfortunately, there seems to be no way to move the switch block more inward due to the holding mechanism to the steering bar. 🤷‍♂️
