Has anyone experienced their Desert X running like shit? I'm worried that the stupid emissions and other restrictions has the bike running like shit. I'm now debating on getting the full system and up map to get rid of all the restrictions.

Out of pure curiosity have you run the engine in or still running it in for the first 600 miles ??
Ive had mine since September and running the engine in has been faultless thus far and it’s due its first service now , it’s never skipped a beat and will be great to have the rev limiter removed .
If it was me with a shite rough running X I would give it back to the dealer to look at the problem before throwing $$$$$$$ at it .
Here in the UK I run 98 Ron fuel in mine and it runs an feels great, hopefully it will run the same after it’s first service.
Maybe the throttle bodies need synchronisation or the US has stronger euro 5 legislation than Europe, therefore letting it breath without the cat and a remap would be beneficial in your case.
keep us all posted on the issues 👍

i agree with other gentleman on his comments. I have not had one thing wrong during run in mileage. Its worth having deLer look at it immediately. Cheers, Mike

Your bike has a warning light for revs that comes on the first 622 miles but not an actual lower Rev limiter…at least here in the US. Warning lights go away after service light is reset but Rev limiter does not change just no more warning lights on the dash.
