Hi all,

This is my first post, but I am follo

Just to add up to the knowledge pool, while we are under the pump to finalize the bike to race Hellas Rally. This is a purpose build that will test all the accessories that we will be making as Aurora Rally Equipment. A new Carbon Fiber Tank (off road use only) that will house a different intake that will be accessible from the top, a full carbon bodykit, chain guide, a unique tower system, CNC parts, CNC add ons, off road lights and a custom front. Hellas Rally starts on the 19th with technical inspection taking place. I will be posting more photos when the bike is in a more complete state so to speak.

Regarding improvements we are working on a CNC stand relocation, clutch master cylinder improvement, see if we can make a proper case saver, two piece front fender and rear tail tidy. On the rear part we will see different additions from smaller fuel tanks (off road use only) with a second fuel pump and all the electrics to run autonomously, much like what we have in the Xplorer range, and solutions for storage. Carbon fiber tank protectors with polymer bumpers for those who want to keep the look of the bike slim and light will also be produced.

We do not know any specifics as we have gone above and beyond our capabilities with this build from buying the bike, getting a laser scanner in order to combine it with a CMM arm to do the prototyping as soon as possible.

All for now,
D.

Hey!

We are back from Hellas, and that was some crazy stuff this year. Stef (our rider) broke his fibula on day 5 (2nd Marathon day) and we were out of the game. We gave up, but not before we gather valuable data for everything. I am in love with this bike. The tank performed flawlessly and we only need to tune the details (brackets for the side fairings) before we go into production. We crashed the hell of it offroad and it never lost a drop. Amazing.

The air filter was proper too, you can close the top and allow the front to direct fresh air, or close the front too in extreme conditions and then you are in a ''stock'' situation (suck air from the bottom). There will be plates that lift the air filter higher from the tank, for those who use the bike on the track for fun and covers that will direct air from the front/rear/sides of the air filter. A two stage filtration will also be available (the outer filter that you see in the photos, combined with a second on in the OEM position) for full customisation. In the marathon stage, 2 minutes and we were good to go. The other Ducati in the race never removed the tank during the race. The racing costume that we had, allows with 8 bolts to undo the whole front (+2 for the tank). In simulations in house in 15 minutes you could undress the whole thing (fueling takes some time to get used to ...). 20-25 max to reinstall. That was the biggest bonus.

Tower and front was business as usual for us, and nothing moved at all, during a good crash on a ditch, the top part (back plate) and support deformed, as they are designed to do so and we swapped them the next day. This is a project that we will see it to the end, with a full Carbon body kit (fenders front and rear are full GF in the photos), a lighter skid plate (Zard performed 400% and I love it to bits - but we want to make the bike 20kg lighter than OEM, so gotta try!). The bike is an M6 class winner, and whoever gets it, should know that this can become a real weapon, should the riders choose to go through the conversion.

We know what the bike does during small/medium and heavy crashes and we will try to remedy everything, I think that this bike can become a true unicorn in its class. The noise that this beast makes is out of this world...

Stay tuned, we have some parts to show!
