I will start by saying this could be operator error or even normal, but im seeking input.

i picked up my new DX yesterday and ride a little yesterday and today. Im noticing the engine almost want to die and lose idle when i twist the throttle before releasing the clutch. It happens consistently. Never died and runs fine.

I am new to Ducati and this could be a characteristic of the engine or even maybe a characteristic of the break in period. Then there is always operator error. Any thoughts? Much appreciated. Mike

Update: the hesitation is starting to ho away as more mileage is obtained. This looks like a function of run-in miles and engine loosening up. Yeah!!! Cheers, Mike

On mine I've noticed that just blipping the throttle, it doesn't rev like you would think. Kinda slow to rev. However out riding it is very responsive, no hesitation what so ever.

I found then same thing on my DX. Just something to get used too, I guess...
