EVOTECH engine guard

Can anyone confirm if the EVOTECH engine guard that protects front coil will work with the Ducati crash cars & upgraded skid plate?
Really want to use it as it makes a ton of sense to protect the front head & coil from flying rocks & debris & the upgraded skid plate stops short of protecting it.

I can confirm that it does clash. Some people have been able make it fit and are happy with it.
I removed mine when I installed the crash bars because I wasn’t comfortable with how much pressure the crossbrace of the crash bars put on the engine guard.
I intend to try and modify the guard someway to try and solve the problem as like you I want some protection in that area.
I will initially try and drill a new 6mm hole on the side brace of the engine guard that allows it to be tucked in tighter. Failing that the intention is to cut away the engine guard in the area that the crash bar crossbrace puts pressure.
I will post some pictures in the coming week or so to show the issue and what I find the best solution to fix the problem.

I have one on the way, stuck in customs at the moment. From the pics it is going to clash, but I'll modify to fit. At this point I am thinking cutting the evotech guard where the crash bar crosses it, plan may change when I hold it in place.

That would be helpful & thank you. Going to powder coat my crash bars & skid plate this week & then hopefully modify the EVOTECH so any guidance greatly appreciated.
Take a look at the iconicparts uk guard looks like it might work with most crash bars and bash plates

Looks perfect! Did you have to modify anything?

I had it installed by my dealer (ordered it together with the bike). According to them, everything fits right out of the box.

Can the Evotech guard be installed with the Ducati crash bars still in place or do these need to be removed?
Thx

MRG just remove the cross brace, then slacken off the Ducati crash bar mounting bolts, afix the EP guard.
That's good to know as I emailed evotech and they said it was designed to be fitted as a stand alone part lol looks like I'm spending more money with evotech lol

It fits, I put a small piece of rubber between so they don't have contact..

Had a chance to look at the clearance issues that some people are experiencing when the EvoTech guard is used in conjunction with the Ducati crash bars.
I believe some people have been straightening the brace between the crash bars to give clearance, this can cause the tire to rub against it when using a deeper knobby tire such as the Motoz tires. Otherwise there is some pressure put onto the plastic breather that is behind the evotech guard.
The photos show the issue better than can be explained. I slotted the mounts on the evotech guard to try and tuck it in closer but it pushes up against the plastic breather and still clashes with the cross brace.
As you will see I took the inner bracket from the evotech guard but it is still requires a 2-3mm more to allow the cross brace to line up without putting pressure on the evotech guard. At this stage I will try again and will cut away the evotech guard in the area that it clashes with the cross brace.
Personally I don't want to have the guard putting pressure on the plastic breather going into the rocker cover. Over time there is a chance it will rub through or possibly crack it once it goes brittle with age and heat.
Hope this helps to clear up the issue some people have been having with the Ducati sump guard and the evotech head guard.

I'm thinking the iconicparts uk guard might be a better option than the evotech guard ?
I bought iconic cover they have not added any longer bolts - if you use m6x12 oe you will loose approx 2mm in thread what means weaker installation
So I am still keep that cover in box and maybe will install that when buy respective m6x14 and won’t use red thread locker as oe has

I installed my ecotech guard this weekend, w/factory engine guard. You can force them to fit but vibration and rubbing/wear will occur. I opted to cut the guard as marked below. The guard is two pieces, the rear mesh part does not need to be cut. With the front part cut out and the factory engine guard cross piece straightened just a little I felt good with the clearance.
