Fees, fees, and more fees

I shouldn't be surprised... When comparing two deals from different dealers, the numbers games are almost funny sometimes. One drops the price of the bike by $1000, but has a $1200 freight fee and $800 set up fee. The next dealer has $795 freight and 390 setup...but won't budge on MSRP so the prices are still very similar.

I'd think the dealer would want to keep fees as low as possible to attract people. But maybe by claiming fees and selling the bike cheaper they gain more % in pocket.

(and yes, the 2000 for freight and set up was a real quote...but they came out slightly lower than the other dealer)

A dealership in Kansas wanted MSRP plus $2400 for the desert x. I ended up buying a used one in Oklahoma.

I missed a used one (630 miles) in Texas because I didn't have my GS sold yet. He'd already installed some pretty nice items and was asking $17k and change.
Well, I hope I don't regret it, but I bought this before selling my Pan America. Hopefully I can move it soon!
