Gas question

Has anyone had experience adding octane booster to regular fuel?
If so, any problems or secrets?
Looking at the southern portion of the Oregon BDR and only premium is in Adel. Concerned with additives and its impact.
Thanks!

As long as you fill with the correct ratio of octane booster indicated on the bottle you are fine. Adding too much can affect the fuel injectors or cause the engine to run rich.
Thanks Leo! Greatly appreciated!

Does this bike need premium? I have been running 89 Octsne ethanol free here in Olympia & runs great.

Hey Gus! Thanks for the reply. According to the owners manual, yes, premium. I guess the next question to ask what octane level defines premium! Good information and thank you again!

I run 92 (ethanol free), and it works perfect.

Been running 90 octane, ethanol free. I figure it’s better than 91 with ethanol.

The owners manual is actually quite clear here, stating RON 95:

There is a diff between RON (EU) and MON (US). 91MON should be available at most stops in OR. And trust me...it wont grenade on even 87mon.
