Hello folks!

I am a 40-year young rider from Turkey living on a small island named Imbros. After a very long time riding Yamaha, it is time to say hello to Ducati. I picked up my DDX a few months ago and just started enjoying it. I often ride around the Aegean sea, Greece, and the Balkans, and very excited about riding TET routes.

May the force be with you!

Hey @osmanlicilegi welcome to the forum! Nice to have another DesertX owner on here! What convinced you to make the switch from Yamaha bikes to the DesertX?

Well, to be honest, Yamaha makes great bikes. I started riding with xt500 and then gone with xt600e->xt660r->xt660z :) Of course, I had some cheats like KTM 640 Adv, but they were all for short periods. I was waiting for T9 but then Ducati changed my mind with this beauty :) Nice looking, very powerful, and funny-to-ride machine. This will not be a short story :)

Congrats on the DesertX @osmanlicilegi. Are you keeping it stock or going to do modifications?
Well, I am not sure, time will show. I did not want to wait for the aftermarket products and ordered the engine, water pump, radiator, and skid protections from Ducati but I am not sure how bulletproof they are. I only need to change the plastic, useless hand guards asap :)
