Greetings everyone from Orange County! Had the DDX for almost two months now and tried to take it out as much as I could.

Mods so far:
  • Crash bars
  • Water pump guard
  • Radiator protective cover
  • Engine guard bash plate
  • Headlight protective grille
  • Heated handgrips
  • Ducati crashbar lights
  • Lowered rider seat
  • Handlebar bag
  • Evotech Garmin Mount
  • Garmin Zumo XT
  • Touratech locking mount for Zumo XT
  • WRS Caponord windscreen
  • WRS side air deflectors
  • Barkbusters VPS handguards
I've installed everything myself but had to go to the dealer to activate the crash bar lights and heated grips.

I'm really considering getting an aftermarket lowered suspension from Race Tech (drop it about 2"). I'm 5'10" and I can almost flat foot it, but it feels too tall to dab while out in the desert riding through sand. I'll change the tires as well, the stock ones don't do too well in sand (being nice here).

Great looking bike, how hard were the bark busters to install? I was going to put the lowering kit on my bike as well but decided to wait and see how it off road. I’m 5’7” and the bike is tall for me, but I’m hopeful I will be ok. I can’t be flat footed on any bike aside from my son’s 85.

Extremely easy installing the Barkbusters.

The only issue I had with the height of the DDX was out in deep sand. Other than that no problems.

Great fit out

How long did it take to install the crash guards, water pump guard and skid plate?

Also re the garmin zumo xt. is there a difference between your garmin and the ducati garmin other than the price!

It wasn't too bad, a couple of hours I would say for the crash guards and water pump. The skid plate was the easiest one to install.

From what I see on the Ducati website, it seems to be exactly the same zumo xt, except the branding.
