Welcome Ezybagr, see you have the sc exhaust, what do you think, and do you havee the link pipe.
Also did you do any ECU work
Thank you.
Yes I installed the link pipe also. I am very happy with the SC. The install was a breeze. I did try with the db killer removed and the sound was awesome but I reinstalled the db killer and the sound is good and the bike runs well with db killer installed.
I have not had the bike on the dyno yet and I have not done any remap or exhaust tuning. So far I can say that I am not seeing any immediate need to do so. I also have yet to install the DNA filter which I have on hand as I suspect that changes to the intake may change this.
I see that Rexxer have a canned map for this set up but requires sending the ECU to them for a flash. I prefer the idea of using a box that would allow me to read and save all the original ECU data before tuning.

Thank you.
The SC Project exhaust is good, I am happy with it
I have not done any ECU exhaust tuning as yet but keeping an eye on ECU tuning devices with maps for my set up that also allow me to save and store the original settings.
I have a DNA air filter on hand but not installed yet. Aside from axle, frame, engine and dash protection I have only added the luggage rack.
I have ordered the radiator guard to replace the stock plastic unit.
I am interested in the Ohlins steering damper but really want to try this first as I find the stock to be pretty good.
Hoping to add some extra lights that do not require the crash bars to hang on. I have used Clearwater Lights on other bikes that mount to the front fender mounts, but the Desert X front fender is very wide so that is not an option.
Although the Ducabike frame protection already installed offers some water pump protection I would look to add more specific water pump protection, again where it does not need the crash bars to hang on.
I am considering the Rally seat but want to try it first.

Merry Christmas. This is my first Ducati buy. Back around 15 years ago when Harley purchased MV and with it Cagiva the hype was that by 2010 HD would revive the Cagiva Elefant and power it with the 1125cc liquid-cooled V-Twin that the Buell’s were using. That was big news but obviously and sadly that all imploded very quickly and I thought it was done, and we would never see the Elefant again.
My only ADV bike purchases in those years was a Super Tenere and a S1000XR. They were both good bikes for bad, unmade and rough road riding. So to compare the Desert X to or with either of those I would have to say that, in my opinion, there is no comparison. Ducati have clearly nailed the rebirth of the Elefant in every aspect. This is an awesome bike. For me it is the perfect balance of off road, bad road and getting to the bad roads. I am still and will always be a Harley guy at heart but where I could not get my head around the dirt glide (PanAm) I had no problem in becoming a Ducati owner for this model.
