Don't currently own a DesertX but have ridden one...had the trade offer been realistic I would have taken one home but they knocked off nearly $2k on trade offer because I did a major service instead of them doing it...I spent all my money on the bike, no money for the labor rates! (plus I'm almost 3 hours from the dealer)

Which is what leads me here, I'll likely be asking questions about Ducati warranty and self-servicing, etc. BMW have never given me grief about a warranty claim or anything but I hear Ducati can be difficult, despite US laws protecting people.

I'm currently going through the process of warranty claim with Ducati.

Issues

1. Dash started spiderwebbing.
2. Loss of clutch fluid

Dealership diagnosed.

1. Dash spiderwebbing was not caused by drops but instead started internally.
2. Master cylinder and slave cylinder are leaking and need to be replaced.

This was my first brand new motorcycle and my first time ever dealing with warranty work. We are waiting to hear from Ducati as the dealership has put in the service claim. I'll let you know the upcoming week if Ducati gives me any issue. All of these issues SHOULD be covered under warranty.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Run by the Varsity and grab some burgers for me!
