Anyone tear into their new X to check grease in the swing arm and steering head bearings? This is a normal routine with a new dirt bike and I planned to do the same with the X. Just got it today and started down the same road but it appears that the swingarm needs a special 4-prong tool/socket to remove the large nuts on either side. Before I go much further I thought I'd ask the group if anyone has checked theirs to ensure there's sufficient grease from the factory.

Yes, you are correct. But the principle still applies. It doesn’t matter what kind of bike it is, if the guy on the assembly line didn’t put enough grease in the bearings then there will be trouble sooner; it happens more often than you’d think. Just asking if anyone has looked at theirs and if there was sufficient grease or not.

It's always a good idea to check the spindles, swing arm pivot bolt and head stock bearings have plenty of grease , the chain lubed and various nuts and bolts tight, same applies to any motorbike , any who says diffrent is just a clueless and they should be ignored

That is not a dirt bike , also calling ddx enduro is too much so forget about “dirt/cross bikes” routines

It's built to go offroad ,go through mud ,sand river crossings, so yes , checking if it's been greased up is a good thing and this applies to road bikes . They should be checked over and greased and lubed as they usually use the bear miniumum in the factory when they built
