Nice post on Highway Dirt Bikes hand guards at HDB Hand Guards on DesertX. How about pics of some other brands, with a short blurb on how you like them? I've searched the forum and didn't see much dedicated to hand guards.

The HDB handguards are great, due to not having a second fix at the bar. Professional riders strongly recommand to have only one fix point at the bar end for enduro riding because of the bar breaking risk.

Thanks; agree. I like the HDB bars and center mount but the plastic guards are fugly.

I have the Evotech guards on both my DDX and Multistrada V4S. They mount outside of the OE plastic guards. I like the look because they are very unassuming. Hopefully I'll never find out how good they are!🤣🏍

I had some near new KTM handguards laying around. Pretty sure they are acerbis but they fit perfectly. I took off the balance weights on the end of the bars as I will be going into tighter trails and want the extra clearance.

I installed Acerbis Endurance X Handgards. The quality is fantastic with a solid aluminum bar running across. While the quality is really nice, my only gripe is with the clamp that attaches to the handlebar and it doesn’t seem to fit with the handlebar geometry, so it took quite a bit of working as well as spaces and some hand guard stretching just to get to fit. On the site it says it’s made for the Desert X, but I think the manufacturer needs to revisit the fitment specifically for this bike.
