I went ahead and sold my Mosko Moto Reckless 80 kit in favor of the pannier kit that Mosko Moto offers. Back in October, one of the dealerships offered me a great deal on the aluminum pannier and mount that Ducati sells at a whopping $2,500 plus tax. I wanted to use these aluminum panniers that I can take off-road and after going back and forth about using them to go off-road, I feel like two factors are playing into my decision. 1) My main concern is all the horror stories online about a fully loaded aluminum pannier falling on someone's leg and snapping their leg, 2) The constant dropping will cause the cases to warp. I ride my bike to work every day and these aluminum panniers are great in the city. So, I made the decision to purchase the Mosko Moto Backcountry 35 L Pannier kit with the BMW Air cooled adapter and see how things mount up. I know not many people have the OEM pannier setup since they are super expensive, but I figure I make a post anyways.

Here's my update....

The bmw adapter fits great on the OEM pannier racks. I had to buy nylon spacer but otherwise it worked great. On the other side, I'm having to make some modifications. Stay tuned!

Here it is, mounted! I did have to modify the plate to accommodate the nipples on the left side pannier mount. I shaved a bunch of the plastic to make the mounting plate completely flat.
