Welcome! How are you liking the DX so far? I'm in Oklahoma, but I'm hoping to bring my DX out to Oregon to ride the ORBDR this summer.
Beautiful country out your way. Did a fly and ride from southern Oregon back home to IL a few years back. The fires pushed me further north than intended but the scenery was worth it.

The new ORBDR from the BDR group? Or the old one with the paper maps?

The DX has been pretty great so far, though there's a newborn in the house so I haven't really been able to ride it much. I came off of a Multi Enduro that I used up pretty thoroughly, even made the pilgrimage to Moab and hit Fins N Things on it. By comparison the DX is worlds better for the type of off road riding I like to do and a solid complement to my KTM 350.

I'm taking the DX to the Giant Loop rally in June. Hoping to get suspension set up buy then, and still trying to sort out tires. With the GT823 not being available yet I'm torn between the Motoz Rallz in the appropriate size or trying out a set of Shinko MX216's with a 140/80 rear (though they'd probably only last a few hundred miles). Eventually I'll get a proper set of Excel rims laced up to have a dedicated set of hooligan wheels.

Glad the fires favored someone. :D It really is quite gorgeous. IL you say... you follow OverkillAndy on IG?
I do not follow him, I have managed to stay away from IG so far!

Probably the smart move (staying off IG ;)). He's somewhere in IL and does some ADV training under the name HeavyEnduro. He and I did a Rev'It ad that just dropped. Used to rally a Multi enduro but he's on the T700 team these days.
Looks like he's from the Chicago 'burbs, I'm at the Kentucky end of the state where the biggest traffic jam involves a tractor or two.

Was planning to ride the new ORBDR but we just got the quote to ship our bikes out that way 😳 and now it looks like we may be riding somewhere a little closer to home this summer.
