Phone Mount Options?

386 Views 15 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  stryker251
What is everyone doing to mount their cell phone? I have a Zumo GPS taking up the space above my main display, so I'm trying to find a good phone mounting option. Particularly with Barkbusters clamps taking up space on the handlebars.

Thanks

Just to mention, you might realize you don't need your phone mounted now that you have a Garmin installed. I used to mount mine but after taking the time to get it synched with the Zumo XT I realized I can just keep it in my pocket or bag-- GPS/music/texts/calls everything now comes through the Zumo/Cardo. Also one of the cool features of the Zumo is that it'll actually read texts messages to you (if you want).

Quadlock - a lot of options inclued wireless charging, dumpers etc. Need to invest few bugs but it make sense

I was a phone mount guy 100% of the time before I got the Zumo XT. Like you said, there's now no reason to take my phone out since the XT handles pretty much everything. It's also nice to keep my phone on my body in case of an emergency.

3rd for keeping phone in pocket if using zumo and helmet comm.
above mentioned evotech option is a really good one
I use a Quadlock with the RAM mount fixed to the Barkbuster bar.
The Evotech ZumoXT mount puts gps above DX info screen.

I’ve used SP connect for a few years now and love the products.

SP mounts with shock absorbers. You get them with intergrated wireless charging too. Combo that with Beeline GPS software and you have a winner for those places without reception. I just did 3000km on diet roads in Namibia with no data connection and all worked extremely well. Its a handlebar mount.
Same here as @fredbibbey - SP with antivibration - it's very durable :)
I have moved the central console to the left to make room for the Zumo XT on the right (I'm short and having it over would obscure the view - besides I like it better vertical)
Proof of SP being durable: short reel of mud bath

I opted for the Peak Design mount with the vibration dampener. This review Quad Lock Vs Peak Design Vs SP Connect was both entertaining and helpful.
