Rear shock guard issue

676 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Ropeone
My dealer fitted the extra rear shock guard to the bike before I collected it - but I have found the upper guard collides with the top edge of the lower guard and gets forced down the back of it, causing a crack in the process.

Something is wrong clearly. Is there a simple solution to save me making a special trip to the dealer?

Many thanks

Mine seems to be mounted where the top guard can’t get behind the lower guard.

Use a heat gun and put more of a bend in the top flap ?

Opening post is missing the two little silver spacers that the second poster has shown from the side on picture. That is the most likely cause, go back to the shop and show them the picture. My kit came with everything for me to install after I purchased the bike.

Fantastic, thanks all. In my case the lower guard has spacers behind and not the top one. Looks like an installation cock-up. And easy to fix. Thanks again.
Pull the silver spacers from behind the bottom cover and add them to the top. Ducati had the directions upsidedown when they installed this section of the bike. Lol
