That sounds like a great aux light solution-- I really like the strobe-on-horn feature. I'm also really liking the black protection with doubletake adventure mirrors-- your bike looks badass. Congrats!
Do add some more photos/videos of the light's throw/spread at night. Also what the switchgear looks like and if possible how you've got it all wired. Ruby seems to really be catching on in this space. If anyone is looking at the Ruby Moto R4 lights as an option, here are a couple pictures. Install was straightforward although I did lift the tank a bit to get the wiring harness through. I had brackets made at a local shop that mimic the OEM brackets. The wiring harness/dimmer makes install easy and gives you other goodies like a horn wire that will strobe the lights at full intensity when you press the horn. Great for visibility in a noisy environment. The dimmer wheel mounts out of the way on the bar so you can adjust between low intensity (default) road mode or sun-bright off road. They are Ducati's standard off-road package. When I had the light brackets powder coated locally, I gave them the crash bars and skid plate. I dig the flat black. What make of crash bars and sump guard are those fitted?
I'll get more pix in the coming week! Still loving the Ruby's. Even on the low setting, I've noticed significantly more eye contact from drivers. I expected more visibility, but being seen is a big plus.Do add some more photos/videos of the light's throw/spread at night. The wiring harness comes with an install guide sheet, but not the lights. The wiring harness is here on their site: Wire Harness & Dimmer Switchsweet set, just ordered, but did not see any harness or install guide, do the R4 comes with a manual ?
thanks
Finish is holding up great and is far stronger than paint. It hasn't been through the Summer off road season yet, but will post updates.Nice! I’m going to powder coat the Ducati stuff too but plan to do the crash bars , water pump guard & rally plate brackets etc n gloss black to match the frame & the do skid plate matte black.
How is finish holding up on the skid plate?
Could of night pictures with R4's on full bright and I posted my install notes in this thread.Do add some more photos/videos of the light's throw/spread at night. Also what the switchgear looks like and if possible how you've got it all wired. Ruby seems to really be catching on in this space.
