Does anybody know about removing the baffle from slip on exhausts? I've found online that I need to break the tack weld pictured below to remove the DB killer. I already removed the circular clip. Just want to verify. See 12 o clock

I had to claw and scratch but I finally got my answer. You have to remove the tack weld, which is correct to be able to remove the db killer...I just didn't want to start drilling into my nice and shiny zard exhaust slip on.

First time slip on installer here. For the Desertx I bought the black Arrow slip on. What do You typically need for the job? Just the stock coupler?

So, I got the db killer removed. You need a drill bit and pliers. Drilled it at the 12 o'clock position where it's tack welded and used the pliers to wiggle the baffle back and forth and it came out fairly easy. Just waiting for better weather to mount the exhaust.
