I just picked up my 2023 Desert X today and was told that the prior kickstand and rear shock plastic guard was replaced due to recall.Viewed my RR22 black DDX today at my local dealer, 3 diffrences ( UPDATES) I noticed , front mudguard , kick stand and rear shock protector ,
1st front mudguard has extra protection fitted to the mudguard to protect the fork and fork seal area.
2 kick stand is diffrent thickness and shape and looks abit beefier looking.
3 the extra peice of plastic on the rear swing arm to stop debris hitting bottom of the rear shock.
Another thing looked diffrent was the steering damper colour looked darker but could of been the lighting in showroom.??
Things I didn't like,
Hand guards are a joke and are just for show,
Brake and clutch lever felt cheap and not impressed,
Switch gear not back lit and looked on the cheap side in all honesty,the fit and finish on the bike overall pretty good , bar grips felt very hard but the heated grips and other extras I've ordered haven't arrived yet .
Will be getting barkbusters as that was the plan all along and getting some asv or another high brand pair of levers.
