I reached out to Akrapovic today asking this very question and they responded within 10 minutes with this answer:

Thank you for reaching out.

In short, Akrapovic will not speak to what they may or may not be working on until it is announced publicly via a press release. From that point, it will be about 6 months until those units are on our shores and actually orderable.

With that said, because this is Ducati, it is also very possible that Ducati will offer an Akrapovic upgrade themselves that would mean there would not be an aftermarket option that will be becoming available.

I have 3 other Akra's on different bikes, they have always sounded the best to me. Id prefer the Termi Ducati option, just wondering yet if I want to pay $3,000 for the full system and tune.

'...coming soon..' means obviously next week. akrapovic told me today that something will be presented in the coming week. unfortunately they don't drop any teaser about what exactly it will be (ec-exhaust, full-system, cat-replacement, whatever). curious.....

More options the better. Termi full system looks nice only I don’t think it’s a full system. I think it’s a cat delete, a nice muffler, & an ECU flash. I can find no evidence of headers or any air filter/airbox mods like past Termi kits for other Duc’s I have owned. Makes the SC Project de cat & muffler & the Shift Tech too viable options for thousands less. Plus the de cat & muffler are easy to install. Dealer quoted me 3.5 hours for the Termi setup which seems high unless it truly is a complete system. I wonder if there will be options for ECU flashes for people who do not go Termi….
