Found this one, Touring Screen for motorcycle DUCATI DESERT X 2023 - Puig Hi-Tech Parts

got it delivered yesterday, and went for a ride today

now we are talking, she’s a little light in the front over 170km/t, but the noice is ok, the deep rombeling is gone 👊🏽, I needed to put on the top “spoiler” for it to be enough, might not be tha same for everyone, but it takes 45 seconds to take it of when off-roading

It looks like shit I know, but putting on some decals later, functionality first 😂

WRS Caponard installed today. Initial impression after short test ride is very positive. Long ride planned Sunday and I’ll report back. It looks much better in person than I expected. A definite improvement over the spoiler I was testing - the $27 Amazon Puig knockoff. I’m 6’1” if that helps.

One niggle worth mentioning: the Caponard screen is touching the Zumo attached to the Perun GPS mount. Zumo is now adjusted is as low as I can get it and the windscreen either touches or there’s only the smallest of gaps (likely to be closed at speeds when the screen flexes). Doesn’t bother me but I thought I would share for those who may be bothered by such things. As always, ymmv.

Fitted the Puig short screen today and went out for a ride.

It's better than the OE screen but it's not perfect. I'll keep it on for the summer and change it for the winter if I remember. I'll keep looking out for another solution. I want a screen that performs properly, but I don't want that to sacrifice the look of the bike.

Screen update. I've now added the WRS winglets. They work okay with the orginal screen, about 40% better. However, I've now fitted the Puig touring screen. This makes it 70% better, but still getting wind on the helmet (ooh er missus) (maybe just British humour) :)

Any road up - waved my hand around to find that the wind was now coming via the mirrors. They will be the next thing to change.

Watch this space!

Now cut down your OEM one & leave the WRS winglets…you will have zero buffering and acceptable wind noise that ear plugs will be able to handle…trust me!

Just to add to the mix of options, I purchased a UNIT Garage Edi Touring windscreen and took a ~20 mile ride with it yesterday. I’m 5’7” with a short inseam and longer torso. The major issue I was hoping to address was the freeway-speed wind on my arms and shoulders. I did not have any issues with buffeting (I have a KRIOS PRO HELMET).

The positives: fixed wind on arms/shoulders, easy install, seems good quality, looks decent.

The negative: may have added some buffeting.
