WRS Enduro screen

Just installed the WRS short windscreen as OEM one is too loud and directs air right at my helmet. When I stand up in clean air it’s quiet as can be so hopefully this shorter screen will do the trick. Will road test tomorrow & report back. Quality is excellent & the inside is finished much nicer than the original.

I'm having a hell of time with the Windscreens and buffeting. I have the tall touring screen, the WRS Short windscreen, and the OEM windscreen.

They are all terrible with buffeting at highway speeds - 75+ mph. For me, the shorty was the worst with buffeting starting at about 45 mph. The stock was probably the best which didn't start buffeting till above 60 mph. The touring was really good till 65 mph and then was worst of the bunch. I added one of those lips that goes at the top of the screen and it made it much better, but not what I would consider acceptable (for me). And I'm not looking for totally still air. I'm looking for reduced buffeting.

I tried my more rounded Arai helmets to my AGV pista RR helmets with no noticeable change.

Yeah, I know it's not a highway cruiser like the Multi, but I've got to ride some highway to get to the offroad areas.

I honestly think the real solution is a split windshield that allows laminar airflow. This has been the worst buffeting of all the ADV bikes I've owned. I'm not tall either. I have a long torso that makes me about 5'10"....

Nice, thanks for posting this. I'm interested in the short screen too. It looks like mounting GPS above the dash would be less than ideal with the portrait orientation of the dash-- are you thinking of handlebar mount instead? I'm still figuring out my GPS solution and haven't ordered any mounting brackets yet because of things like this.

Here is the tall WRS with the GPS above dash. Works quite well:

First ride & I like it much better than OEM. Still more wind noise than I care for but buffeting is gone. Went out & tested without earplugs with this helmet & I am sure once I add my earplugs wind noise will be acceptable. As far as GPS goes I will either go bar mount or just ride with people who are good navigators. lol.

Has anyone tried the side air deflectors to see if that makes any difference?

I have them on and it does make a difference both good and bad. I'm in Southern California where we get some strong winds from time to time. Normal weather, with the side air deflectors on it seems like full wind protection, which is really great, but when there are wind gusts I feel the bike moving more than before when I didn't have them on. I was wondering if anyone else has the same experience?!

I think all the buffeting comes from the top not the sides. Honestly I think the shorter the better.
I have the tall one and I'm 5'10", 0 buffeting. I have the lower seat and I'm using a Klim Krios Pro helmet, but used a Shoei as well and still no buffeting.

The side air deflectors are more for the lower side of the body. As I was mentioning above, with them on and the tall WRS I feel no wind hitting my body. Quite a nice riding experience, especially for longer trips.
